Justice Across Generations
Hosted by Northwest Tennessee Elder Justice Coalition
Join Northwest Tennessee Elder Justice Coalition on September 30, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CT for a comprehensive training that will provide professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize, prevent, assess, and respond to elder abuse and the exploitation of vulnerable adults. The course examines the complex physical, cognitive, financial, psychological, and social factors that can increase vulnerability and explores how professionals from multiple disciplines can work together to protect at-risk individuals. Through lecture, discussion, case studies, and interdisciplinary perspectives, participants will gain a broader understanding of elder abuse and vulnerable adult protection and develop practical strategies for early recognition, appropriate intervention, documentation, collaboration, and prevention.
2. Participants will be educated on physiological changes in the elderly, mental health, and medical issues associated with the aging process, and medications that have potential to increase the vulnerability in the aging population.
3. Participants will understand the impact of stress on those working with the aging population and identify strategies for reducing that stress.
