The Tennessee Social Work Licensure Board has issued two policy statements that clarify:
** Up to 100% of individual supervision can be completed via synchronous teleconferencing; and
** Up to 100% of continuing education can be completed via synchronous continuing education where learning occurs in real time and where the attendee can engage virtually with the presenter.
NASW-TN appreciates the Board's action on these statements and encourages all Tennessee social workers to review the statements to ensure they are following the policies. The statements are posted on the Licensure Board's website and can be accessed below. NOTE: The Supervision Policy updates information in the below 2022 summary of changes.
